New Nissan pickup coming June 11 – next Navara?

Nissan pickup

Nissan has teased a new pickup truck, scheduled to be launched on June 11. From the looks of it, it could be the long-awaited replacement for the current Navara, which has been in production for 10 years now.
Looking through the white veil, we can see the traditional Nissan truck grille, with the two vertical bars spaced further apart. New additions include headlights with LED daytime running lights, as well as what appears to be chrome-edged fog light surrounds.
We do know that the next-generation Navara will be developed in tandem with the forthcoming Mitsubishi Triton replacement – which will also be launching this year – and will share the same platform. Currently, both the Navara and the Triton are built at Mitsubishi Motors’ plant at the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate in Chonburi, Thailand (our Navaras are assembled locally at Tan Chong’s plant in Segambut).
