Nismo have tweaked the car in terms of powertrain, chassis, tyres, suspension and aerodynamics. Yes, the engine has been tweaked, but we’re not too sure to what extent. The car is supposed to have a 5-speed manual gearbox, so we’re expecting the base engine to be the 1.5 litre normally aspirated four cylinder engine that you normally find in the Note, so we don’t know how far powertrain tweaks can go.
The Nissan Note competes head on with the Honda Jazz, since both cars are B-segment high roof hatchbacks. We’ve previously seen a Nissan Note with trade plates driving around in Malaysia, and ETCM showcased the Nissan Note at last year’s KLIMS13 show, but there hasn’t been any other updates on the possibility of the car coming to Nissan Malaysia showrooms since then.
