New Nissan pickup teased further with new video

Two days after announcing that a new pickup truck will be debuting on June 11, Nissan has released a teaser video showing the upcoming workhorse undergoing a series of durability tests. Judging from the proportions and the size of the pickup in the video, this is looking more and more likely to be the next-generation Navara.
We get a better look at some of the details of the front end that was still partially obscured by the white veil in the first teaser image, such as the broader Nissan truck grille as well as the lower air intake and fog light surrounds (complete with chrome edging for the latter on higher-end models). We also see what appears to be a rather nice colour multi-information display in the instrument cluster similar to the Nissan Teana.
As previously reported, the next Navara is being developed in collaboration with Mitsubishi, moving onto the bones of the forthcoming Triton replacement which will also be unveiled this year. Currently, both the Navara and the Triton are built at Mitsubishi Motors’ plant at the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate in Chonburi, Thailand (our Navaras are assembled locally at Tan Chong’s plant in Segambut).
