Tokyo 2015: Nissan Teatro for Dayz – for digital natives

Nissan Teatro for Dayz 3

Another Nissan concept shown at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show is literally a mobile social media tool. The Teatro for Dayz concept EV is designed specifically for the “digital native generation.” The little MPV is all technology inside and out as it’s meant to appeal to a different target segment – non-car enthusiasts.
Externally, the Teatro for Dayz features a simple “clean canvas” design, which the brand says resembles leading-edge handheld technologies. This is complemented by the satin white silver and gloss white combination colour. The multi-coloured LED screens fitted on the front and rear bumpers and the side panels are the most striking features. Aside from coloured graphics, the LED panels will also display the car’s battery level.

As it’s made for what Nissan also calls, “share natives,” the interior is where the Teatro for Dayz is truly unique. There’s a fully customisable interior, including the instrument panel, which is also a large-sized touch-screen. With image display technology, the door trims, seats and headrests can similarly be customised with all sorts of wallpapers.
Voice control and motion sensors are used to control the audio and air conditioning. Also on-board are cameras in and around the vehicle, which allow for instant capturing and sharing of experiences. The Teatro for Dayz also comes with internet connectivity to ensure that digital natives can do just that in a jiffy, staying connected at all times.
